Dr. Teresa Lutz grew up in Florida and graduated with honors to earn a BS in Nursing from the University of South Florida. Upon graduation, she moved to Houston to work in the organ transplant unit at Methodist Hospital and returned to school to study optometry at the University of Houston. She received her Doctor of Optometry degree with honors from the University of Houston, College of Optometry and has been working as a Therapeutic Optometrist in the Bay Area for more than 20 years.
In addition to practicing at South Shore Eye Center, Dr. Lutz is on staff at Coastal Eye Associates and Advanced Laser Vision&Surgical Institute. She serves as a Clinical Adjunct Professor at the University of Houston, College of Optometry and as a consultant to NASA Flight Medicine.
She and her husband, Jay, have two kids in college. She enjoys sailing (fair weather), running (also fair weather) and gardening.
